The Health Centre of the University was established in the year 1957 with the aim of providing a general healthcare facility to staff members and students. The Health Centre of the university is equipped with facilities like thermometers, BP apparatus, weight & height measuring machines, stretchers, patient beds, etc. Two allopathic & one homeopathic part-time doctors along with three permanent & six contractual employees help in the smooth running of the health centre. The Centre provides free medical consultation to employees and students of the university from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm. Essential medicines are dispensed free of cost to the students of the university. Apart from medical consultation, the health centre provides medical aid during sports and academic events (admissions, examinations, conferences, etc.). It also provides facilities for medical examination of NCC cadets. The Health Centre of the university also organizes awareness camps with other departments. During and post-COVID, it organized camps to vaccinate the employees and students of the university. The functioning of the health Centre in the university is monitored by the Dean of Students’ Welfare.
