The Institute of Pharmacy, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur, was established in 2024 and currently offers a Diploma and bachelor program in pharmacy. It aims to impart quality education in the noble pharmacy field and professionally train the students. All available programs are approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.

The department provides training and information about patient counseling, drug information services, medication reconciliation, health screening services, health awareness programs, community outreach programs, and medical camps.
The faculty members engaged in the Institute for shaping the future by innovative teaching methods and the development of skills to stimulate critical thinking and the appropriate use of pharmaceuticals and also play a significant role in instilling the ongoing Pharmacy education program, they are also fully devoted to high-class research in areas of Drug discovery and development of formulation (Nano-based drug delivery systems) from natural and synthetic sources & Design and synthesis of broad-spectrum novel therapeutic agents and analysis of synthetic molecules.
