B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering, which is a four year professional undergraduate program, was started in 2021 with an intake of 60 students. The Department is established under the aegis of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology at DDU Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur.

The department's distinguishing feature is its vibrant learning environment, in which all students and faculty members cultivate the spirit of the invention, creativity, and fruitful contribution to the progress of technology. The Department is establishing a number of laboratories not only to serve the purpose of the curriculum but will also facilitate to carryout of innovative research projects in the field of nanotechnology, RF/Microwave communication, VLSI, IoT to fulfill the fast-changing needs of society. Department will also plan to offer PG and Research courses in the coming years.

The department offers sufficient opportunities for the students to grasp and innovate. Students are motivated to take part in several activities like paper presentations, hardware exhibitions, technical quizzes, etc. to improve technical and soft skills of the students.
