About Guest House
The University guest house is one of the most important constituents of the university campus and plays a significant role in the academic and corporate lives of the university. Built in the 60s and expanded in 2002, The university guest house presently consist of three blocks-The Old guest house, Shivam Block and the academic staff college guest house. The main guest house comprising the old guest house and theShivam block includes 28 rooms-one VVIP suite, 02 VIP rooms, 18 AC rooms and 7 non AC rooms. Besides it also houses a well-furnishedmultipurpose hall, a meeting hall and a dining hall with an attached kitchen.
Apart from these the guest house also has too large dormitories.
The academic staff College guest house consists of 29 rooms to cater to the participants of the orientation, refresher and short term courses organised by the human resources development center (earlier, academic staff College).Recently the guest house got a much required facelift that included the beautification of guest House lawns, installation of new TV sets in the rooms, installation of the paintings and statues reflecting the history and culture of the Gorakhpur region and the construction of a new reception office that was inaugurated by vice chancellor of the university professor VK Singh on October 1st 2018.
The construction of VVIP suits, 6 super deluxe rooms and the complete renovation of the academic staff College guest house has begun and will soon be functional to cater to the growing demands of the university fraternity.The university guest house is run and maintained by dedicated staff of 14 members. At present Sri Deependra Mohan Singh is the Incharge-I and Dr. Devendra Pal is Incharge-II of the university guest house.
