     basic or applied. : Introducing Genderhistory and Maratha history. Ever since its inception, the department  was constantly aware of its responsibilityand duties to words the society consequently the department formulated andimplemented new courses and curriculum in tune of the needs of the society.Courses like were gender issues Maratha history, Nepal history etc .  incorporated  in the curriculum.

52. Future plans of thedepartment:

   a) Introducing new courses and diploma .The Department  proposes to initiate the following     programmer / courses in near future for thebetterment of the discipline in the department. Initiate new programmers  in the curriculum in tune  with the requirement of the changing scenariolike course of historiography, tourism etc

 b)  Organized the seminars andworkshops.

c) To orient  student to take new responsibilities andchallenges in tune with the changing time.

d. professional and job orientedcourses to introduced as diploma course like diploma in tourism, diploma inhistoriography etc.

e.  Organize  seminar /conferences /symposia etc on relevanttopics.

f. To regularly organizeinterdisciplinary research methodology courses/ workshop/ short term courses inthe Department .

g. In this competitive era,   provideto the department o help it to establish itself as a premier centre for highereducation in the subject.
